John has been with Oracle for over a decade. He’s been involved with HeatWave since 2018 and prior to that worked for Infobright, a high-performance columnar database based on MySQL. He also worked in VERITAS’s (later Symantec’s) Field Technology Group as the senior most pre-sales engineer specializing in their Application Performance Management product. While there, he worked on VERITAS’s utility computing solution, the precursor to the cloud hyperscalers of today. His operational database expertise goes back to the late 90’s. He started his career as a remote sensing and GIS expert in the U.S. Intelligence Community.

John truly enjoys helping enterprise businesses solve pressing technology challenges and opening up what-if potentials, having helped hundreds of companies over his career. 

John is based in Chicago with his family, three crazy Italian Greyhounds and a hedgehog.
